Real Madrid have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign highly-rated winger Yan Diomande in a deal worth more than €100 million, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Sunday with his trademark "Here we go."

Romano announced the breakthrough on X, writing that the agreement was closed with RB Leipzig for a fee over €100 million for the Ivorian winger, and that Diomande will fly to Madrid this week for medical tests and to sign a contract until June 2031. According to Romano, Real Madrid had seen an earlier bid rejected before returning to the table on Sunday with an improved offer that satisfied Leipzig's demands.

Romano reported that Arsenal and Manchester City both made checks over the preceding days, while Paris Saint-Germain had agreed personal terms with the player back in mid-June. Ultimately, PSG failed to close the club-to-club deal with Leipzig, and Madrid moved decisively to land the player. Romano noted that PSG are "completely out of the race and are very upset with what happened," and are expected to turn their focus to Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche.
