Trump criticized Collins' award for her coverage of his meeting with Ukraine's President Zelensky, calling it fake and telling her she should smile more. He also compared her to transgender advocate Dylan Mulvaney in reference to a controversial Bud Light ad. Mulvaney responded by saying she was honored by the comparison. Collins emphasized that her questioning style aims to be clear and accessible to all audiences, not just politically aligned groups. Despite the insults, she prefers to focus on the substance of her reporting rather than personal reactions. Collins also thanked her CNN colleague Wolf Blitzer for support following the event.
